A mini crane or mini crawler is designed to work indoors or outdoors and is built for working in low access confined areas. Typically mounted on a dual crawler track chassis with “spider-type” or "x-pattern" outriggers that stabilize the crane this compact, flexible and versatile crane type is strong enough to lift up to 8.5 tons, and can be placed on rooftops or highrise buildings to lift materials. Mini cranes are operated by remote controls, stand up levers and swing seat cabs. The enclosed type cab of a mini crane operates like a telescopic boom crawler crane but is much smaller.
In 1982, the concept was first developed by Maeda in Japan and other manufacturers such as Jekko, and UNIC so followed. To search mini cranes for sale, rent or lease on Crane.Market please visit the Mini Cranes page.
